We have noted instances where suppliers have used “Self Certification” or the local government “Agricultural Department” as a deception. Always check the legitimacy of any organic certification claims.

The very high cost of implementing this process in remote Pacific Islands can be appreciated when the complete system is understood. Our decision to proceed with this expensive logistical exercise is testimony to our dedication to bringing the best quality Noni juice possible, to our customers. The auditing process of obtaining full IFOAM organic certification is as follows.

• Selected Noni fruit plantations are first audited by an Agriquality certifier

• The plot is mapped and the owners details are recorded

• Soil samples are taken for analysis of chemical residues

• Providing everything checks out, the plot goes into a stage known as “Conversion” for 3 years minimum.

• After conversion, another audit and sample testing are done.

• Once cleared by the auditor, full certification is issued

• All product movements from that plot, are now controlled by a tracking sheet and batch numbers

• All intermediate handlers and shippers must now be audited and/or approved to handle certified organic products

• All shipping and storage must now be under the IFOAM audited procedures

• Once the certified pure organic Noni is bottled, the process is complete. The organic capsules Noni juice makes are also under this system.

• The Noni juice organic batch number is printed directly on the label, along with the ‘best before’ date.

The ability to sell organic Noni is a source of great pride to our company, and highlights our beliefs not only in the product, but our whole approach to health, nutrition and sustainability of a quality supply.

Organic certification is a system and a standard that guarantees not only the product, but also the method by which the product is grown. Sustainability is the keyword behind organic Noni juice certification.

Whilst we would be fully justified in adding the organic Noni certification cost on to our customers, we choose no to do so. As should be obvious by now, we are here for the long haul and have decided to absorb this cost ourselves. We are able to do this because our total commitment to the entire production process has also meant we have devised processing and packaging systems that have lowered our costs in those areas.
